Thanks for this app that works OffLine... Very useful to give a meeting point to someone and make sure to wait at the right exit stairway of a station...my wife thanks you too

Very useful, great at navigating the Paris subway, especially given the fact that it stores all data locally.

Some bad moments

As a non-Parisien, I find Kemtro invaluable for navigating the Metro system. The major pluses are: offline usage, quick and accurate routing, GPS, and offline Paris map. Since the project works offline, I dont have to worry about cellphone coverage; the app works perfectly within the Metro train. The "touch to select" stations feature allows me to find routes from the Paris overlay even without knowing the actual station names; I can simply click on the station closest to me, the final destination, and voila! The routing is almost instantaneous and Kemtro gives very detailed transfer information, time estimates, number of stops, as well as the individual stops between stations. One of the best features is that Kemtro functions as both as Metro routing system AND offline map of Paris. Being able to have the metro map and Paris map available in one view is indispensable; Im surprised more metro navigation apps dont combine both.

thats the type of application you need if you are visiting a big city. The metro in Paris allows you to go almost anywhere, but you really have to understand how to go from point A to point B. With this application you can easily and quickly find your route by just tapping the screen. It does not need the network/cellular connection to work so you can use it underground. And if you are above ground, you can use the GPS and the map of Paris to find out where you are and your closest metro station. No problems with the expensive roaming rates as the map of the city is already on your cell phone. Excellent application. I want the same app with more cities!

The offline mode is very useful especially for travellers who dont want to get hammered with prohibitive data roaming costs or even when youre underground in the metro. Adding the exits (knowing there can be many in big stations in Paris) is also very handy.

I like that I dont need to be connected to a mobile network to see the different exits for each metro station or to plan my route (always important as cell phone service is very unreliable when underground.) Kemtro lets me see which exit I need to take - now I dont have to wander around the metro station looking for the map or worse, going the wrong way outside. Its a nice added touch that the stations and exits with elevators are marked. This is great when I have lots of luggage or am with my grandparents. THANKS!

A great application for travelers abroad. Very easy to use. A must for any travelers visiting Paris.

Not only does this app have all the positive features other reviewers have mentioned (OFFLINE use, so it doesnt eat up wireless charges; excellent maps of subway exits, so you know where the escalators are, and which stations only have stairs, and know which direction to go in when you surface; plus easy tap-to-use technology), its also ELEGANT and beautiful. The design is something that Steve Jobs himself might have commissioned. Indispensible for any traveler to Paris. Well worth twice the price.
